The transition from middle school to high school can seem scary to teens going into ninth grade, but don't worry the JVA Freshman Academy is here to help! The program helps full time incoming 9th graders adjust to the new high school environment. The Freshman Academy meets the first Tuesday of every month from 1:30-3:00pm. All full time JVA freshmen are required to participate. The link will be posted in the Student Group and a your Advisement course.
We know how important social connections are to students, especially in this COVID environment, So before our Freshman Academy Lesson, we will have an informal social for all 9th graders! From 1:30-2:00pm we will meet via Zoom and have time to chit chat & get to know each other since none of us have met in person yet! What is Mrs. Hyatt's favorite movie? How many animals does Mrs. Mentlik actually have? Find out this and more at our social! (This is optional, but a great way to get to know your classmates!) The monthly content will follow from 2:00-3:00pm. For November, the focus is What’s Your Learning Style?
