Some of our programs have different enrollment steps, so the first thing you'll want to do is determine which program works best for your family.  If you're unsure of which program is the right fit, contact our main office or one of our Community Liaisons.  We're happy to talk with you about your situation so you can feel at ease.  Click here to review the programs we have to offer.

Submitting a choice enrollment application or even receiving an offer will not affect a student’s status at the student’s current school. A student gives up the seat at their current or neighborhood school ONLY if the family accepts an offer from the school in which they are choice enrolling. Once you accept an offer to a school in which you choice enrolled, that school of choice becomes your home school until you complete all the grades offered at that school. To return to your neighborhood school, you must complete a Round 2 choice enrollment application. If space is available, your student will be offered enrollment. If you wish to return to your neighborhood school during the school year, you must apply for Administrative Transfer, which will then need to be approved by your current principal and the principal at the neighborhood school. Students who apply for enrollment during the Round One window for the following school year are guaranteed enrollment at their neighborhood school.

*Applications will be reviewed by our Registrar and families will be contacted if further information is needed.  If an applicant has a learning plan, our Learning Specialist and School Psychologist will review the plan to ensure we can provide accommodations effectively.  Families will receive communications from JVA regarding this review.  Although we recognize your right to withhold certain information about your student, we value complete information to ensure the best educational environment for students. Failure to disclose a learning plan (504, IEP, etc) could result in us rescinding our approval for your student to enroll at Jeffco Virtual Academy.
*Colorado law requires all students attending Colorado schools and licensed child cares to be vaccinated against certain diseases unless a medical or non-medical exemption is filed.  For more information about vaccine requirements, resources and exemptions, please visit the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment's School Immunization page
